Our Team
Andrew Rothwell
After gaining his Masters Degree in Clinical Neuropsychology in Melbourne, Andrew moved to Adelaide to take up a position working as the Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist on the Home and Community Rehabilitation teams before moving into the Senior Clinical Neuropsychology position at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. He was the Clinical Director of the Community Re-entry Program at Flinders University and wrote and lectured a course in Neuropsychology at Adelaide University. He is the founder and Director of Rothwell Neuropsychology, a group practice which provides consultancy services in diagnostic, medicolegal assessment, and neurorehabilitation and is a regular speaker at professional and public lectures. Away from the practice Andrew enjoys cycling - a substitute for the harder to indulge passion of surfing.
Suzie joins our practice as admin assistant. She has a huge interest in human biology, in particular Nutritional Medicine. In her spare time you’ll find her in the garden, where she is trying her hand at growing organic fruit and vegetables. She also enjoys undertaking home projects, tinkering with crafts and being out in nature.
Courtney
Very early in her studies, Courtney became passionate about improving the lives of people living with neurological disorders after bearing witness to the effects of traumatic brain injury. She migrated to Australia from Zimbabwe in 2017 to pursue her interests, and completed the Master of Clinical Neuropsychology degree at the University of Melbourne. Since completion of her studies in 2018, she has gained clinical experience in acute hospital settings and multidisciplinary community services across Melbourne and Adelaide which, combined with life experience in three different countries, has enhanced and refined her person-centred approach to neuropsychological assessment and intervention. Her experience includes conducting neuropsychological examinations for diagnostic, rehabilitation, and behaviour management purposes, and she has developed particular interests in the neuropsychology of ageing and the complex interactions between mental health and neurocognitive function. In addition to her current role at Rothwell Neuropsychology, Courtney is contracted by the Southern Older Persons Mental Health Service and The Adelaide Clinic.
Rochelle
We are very excited to welcome Rochelle as a new member of the team starting in April and undertaking her neuropsychology registrar program. Rochelle has a warm and empathetic demeanour, taking a person-centred approach to neuropsychological assessment. She aims to empower clients with a greater understanding of their cognition. Rochelle was drawn to neuropsychology after completing an honours degree with a major in neuroscience, and her inclination for clinical work developed as she provided allied health support to children with complex neurodevelopmental needs and their families, which gave her a greater perspective of the impact of neuropsychological disorders. During her master’s degree, Rochelle developed an appreciation for working with clients across the lifespan in various inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, geriatric, and paediatric settings.
